About Me

This is my story.

I was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and graduated as a Distinguished Military Graduate from the University of Tulsa ROTC program in 1985. For twenty-five years, I proudly served in the US Army, including combat deployments during Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. During my 2004–2005 deployment to Iraq, I served as the Communications Staff Officer for the 1st Cavalry Division Support Command. After retiring in 2006, my desire to serve our community led me to the Troops to Teachers program. For the next decade, I taught English Language Arts at Killeen's Ellison High School, investing directly in the future of our youth.

My wife, Noretta, and I first arrived in Killeen in 1995 when I was assigned to Fort Hood. We bought our home a year later and have been proud residents for thirty years. We are blessed with a son, Christopher, who works as an engineer. I am an active member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church. I have stayed deeply involved in local government for years, regularly speaking at City Council meetings and maintaining open communication with city leaders. As a graduate of the Killeen Citizens Police Academy, I am also an unwavering supporter of our Killeen Police Department, local firefighters, and all first responders.
About image 4
I have spent years advocating for my fellow veterans both locally and at the state level. In Austin, I spent a decade working closely with legislators from both political parties to help establish the Texas Compassionate Use Program, successfully securing strictly regulated healthcare alternatives for veterans suffering from PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury, and chronic pain. Here at home, I serve as Secretary of the Wind Therapy Freedom Riders' Sentinel Chapter, a motorcycle club dedicated to supporting law enforcement and veterans. I am also a founder of the Valor Crew to ensure no veteran is ever buried alone at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. As a proud Army veteran, husband, father, and devout Christian, I look forward to bringing this lifelong dedication of service to District 3 on the Killeen City Council.
